Beijing, February 8 (reporter Liao Ruiling) The Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development recently issued the "14th Five-year" construction industry development Plan (hereinafter referred to as "planning"), put forward to 2025, prefabricated buildings accounted for the proportion of new buildings more than 30%; Construction waste emissions from construction sites of new buildings will be kept below 300 tons per 10,000 square meters, a market mechanism for the treatment and reuse of construction waste will take initial form, and a number of demonstration projects for green construction will be launched.
In recent years, the role of the construction industry as the pillar industry of the national economy has been enhanced. During the 13th Five-Year Plan period, China's construction industry has made remarkable progress in reform and development, with the added value of the construction industry growing at an average annual rate of 5.1% and accounting for over 6.9% of the COUNTRY's GDP. In 2020, the total output value of the construction industry reached 26.39 trillion yuan, and the added value reached 7.2 trillion yuan, accounting for 7.1 percent of the GDP. Housing construction area under construction reached 14.947 billion square meters and 53.66 million people were employed in the construction industry. However, at the same time, there are still problems of low quality and efficiency in the construction industry, which are mainly reflected in extensive development mode, low labor productivity, high energy consumption and high emissions, and irregular market order.
In order to further promote the development of construction industry transformation, "the plan" proposed to speed up the coordinated development of intelligent building and new building industrialization and improve the construction market operation mechanism, perfect the organization mode of engineering construction, cultivating building industry workers, improving engineering quality security system, steadily improving seismic disaster prevention ability, speed up the construction pace of "going out" and other major task.
